One Good Self Defense Technique
         FINGER JAB

One of  the professional fighters in attendance yelled out,

“That’s one of your techniques, Ty”.

In fact it’s one of the first technique I teach.  The technique is illegal in competition but is effective for
self defense. I’m always amazed at how many people cannot do this technique effectively without
    instruction.

First of all, don’t copy any Three Stooges moves you’ve seen. Do not use two fingers.

    Use the whole hand.
    Spread the fingers out.
The hand goes directly to the eyes.

If you’re lucky enough to hit your target, great.
If you don’t make contact with your target, your assailant will hesitate long enough for you to execute a
good follow-up technique. The finger jab is a simple and effective technique if practiced.

I go to watch UFC fights at a cigar lounge I
belong to located at the Crossing
Shopping Mall.  It’s a great atmosphere for
watching the fights.   The crowd is made
up of a lot of martial artists, professional
fighters and other profession athletes.

At one of these events a fighter was poked
in the eye.
